- This volcano was born like in 7,000 years ago.
- The lower part of the volcano is covered by hemlock and Shasta red fir, the upper portion feature white bark pine along with manzanita and wildflower.
- The Island was named by William Gladstone Steel, who felt that is resembled a sorcered’s hat.
- For looking the volcano close that go by boat.
- Perhaps the most unique feature of the lake is its remarkable colour, a deep, brilliant blue that is magnified by its contrast with the ochre and rust of the surrounding rock walls.
